Parenting Courses – How to be Parents to the Modern Generation
Publication date: 6 November 2025
What challenges do Generations Z and Alpha pose for us?
Who are Generations Z and Alpha, and what should we expect from them? What challenges does parenting bring in the digital age? These are the main questions concerning the modern upbringing of children.
A problem for us as parents is that we cannot and should not rely completely on the experience of our own parents. For the first time in world history a generation is growing up that has never known a world without technology. Raising our children in an online world that is constantly changing is like visiting a new country without a road map and with our eyes blindfolded.
We all want to be the best parents for our children, but there are often conflicting pieces of advice about how to raise a child who is confident, kind and successful—while keeping them healthy and building relationships based on trust. The problems vary, but their essence is the same: loss of contact with the child, lack of mutual understanding and control issues. It has always been this way, but it feels most painful now because parents and children belong not only to different generations but also to different communication systems. Children today are born into the computer world, whereas parents still remember a different time.
Why we created this course
That is why we created a course aimed at every parent who has the honour of raising a child from Generations Z and/or Alpha. We will not give you ready-made solutions—parenting has never been easy and never will be—but we will help you discover a different path and understand that there are things not worth getting angry about because they do not depend on us. We will share information gathered from hundreds of sources, give you examples from our personal practice and are certain that everyone will find answers for themselves.
Topics we discuss in the course
- What is happening to childhood in the information age?
- The conflict between child and school: how to handle the battle for grades?
- Should we ban tablets and phones?
- How to recognize internet addiction?
- When and where do communication problems arise?
- Do punishments work?
- How to motivate our children?
- What is the most important thing that parents of “digital” children need to learn?
The goal is to reach our children and understand them as they are—not as we think they should be.
