Internal Qualification of Pedagogical Staff

The mandatory 16 academic hours of internal institutional qualification of pedagogical staff is an issue that concerns specialists in schools and kindergartens. Burdened with commitments not only related to the educational process, but also with all the additional things they have to do, teachers do not always manage to meet the requirements set by the Ministry regarding this type of qualification. Another problem that arises is that of qualification topics. No one wants to waste time on something that is not interesting to them or will not be of any use just to cover some required hours.

Professional development is a continuous process that should support professional realization, provoke new ideas and the desire for career development.

Professional development is carried out through training programs from specialized service units, higher education institutions and scientific organizations, as well as from training organizations in the Information Register of approved programs for upgrading the qualification of pedagogical specialists.

Teachers, principals and other pedagogical specialists are obliged to upgrade their qualifications:
1. through training programs of higher education institutions, scientific organizations, specialized service units, as well as training organizations from the Information Register of approved programs for upgrading the qualifications of pedagogical specialists in no less than 48 academic hours for each certification period for each pedagogical specialist;
2. within the internal institutional qualification in no less than 16 academic hours annually for each pedagogical specialist;
Organizational forms for professional development are:
1. courses – introductory, thematic, integrated and others;
2. seminars, professional pedagogical and psychological trainings, schools, practicums, lectures, etc.;
3. specializations related to the methodological, pedagogical, psychological training of pedagogical specialists, with a specific scientific field or with educational management;
4. professional-pedagogical specialization;
5. master class as an interactive form of training for teacher-innovators through presentation of their pedagogical achievements, sharing of positive professional experience, discussion of current trends and application of innovative technologies and practices;
6. forums (conferences, competitions, plein airs, etc.) for presentation of research results, research and creative activities, for professional expression and presentation of good, innovative practices or achievements.
